The Application Of Silicone Oil In Shampoo Products

Two types of silicone oil commonly used in shampoos: dimethylsilicone oil and polydimethylsiloxanol.

1. Dimethyl silicone oil

Dimethyl silicone oil is a kind of organosilicon compound, it is a colorless, tasteless, non-toxic liquid, with excellent lubricity and anti-viscosity, is synthesized by methyl siloxane monomer through polymerization reaction.

Dimethyl silicone oil has good stability and high temperature resistance, can maintain stability at high temperature, will not decompose or produce harmful substances. It is commonly used in cosmetics, personal care products and medicine, and has a wide range of uses.

In personal care products, dimethylsilicone oil is often used in shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturizer and other products to improve the use of products and effects.

Dimethyl silicone oil has the following functions in the application of shampoo products:

Polydimethylsiloxanol is a colorless, tasteless, non-toxic, non-volatile liquid, with excellent chemical inertia, high and low temperature stability, oxidation resistance, lubrication, moisturizing and luster characteristics, in cosmetics, food, medicine, lubricants, plastics and other fields are widely used.

PDMS alcohol has the following functions in the application of shampoo products:

(1) Improve the consistency and texture of shampoo: polydimethylsiloxanol is a viscous liquid that can improve the consistency of shampoo and make it easier to use and apply.

(2) Lubrication of hair surface: PDMS alcohol has excellent lubrication, which can be coated on the surface of hair, reduce the surface friction and friction, and make hair smooth, soft and easy to comb and finish.
