As a dyeing auxiliary, it can be added to the dye bath during dyeing. It can form a water-soluble complex with the dye, penetrate into the spandex fiber, and effectively promote the uniformity of the fiber. It can significantly improve the dyeing rate and avoid the problem of "whitening".

Spandex colorant is specially designed for acid dye dyeing so that nylon/spandex can get the closest color. It is an easy-to-use liquid that can be added directly to the dye bath without pre-dissolving. When DSN is absorbed on the fabric before adding the dye, the coloring rate of spandex can be greatly improved, thus making the coloring of spandex/polyamide close to the same.

Because of its high concentration, spandex colorant makes its dosage less than that of general similar products, higher efficiency, and correspondingly less pressure on environmental protection.

In order to obtain consistent dyeability of spandex/nylon, it is generally recommended to treat fabrics with DSN 0.5-2.0% (weight to fabric).
