1. Evaluation of hand feel

Generally, several skilled operators evaluate the softness, smoothness and fullness of the fabric according to the actual touch feeling of the soft finishing fabric, and use appropriate words to express the hand feeling.

2. Thermal discoloration resistance and thermal yellowing resistance test

(1) Test method: Bake (or press) the soft-finished fabric (colored fabric for heat-resistance discoloration; bleached fabric for heat-resistance yellowing) at (185±2) °C for 3 minutes, and then press Judgment.

⑵Description:

The heat treatment of fabrics can be done by hot air dryer, oven, sublimation fastness tester, scorch tester and other equipment.

Depending on the type of fiber, the heat treatment temperature, time and other conditions should be different, which can be determined according to the situation. The test conditions should be indicated in the report.

3. Stretching test

⑴ Test method:

Cut the sample into long strips with a diameter of 24cm and a weft of 2cm, and then in a relaxed state, make two marking lines with a fixed length of 20cm in the middle of the fabric, clamp the upper end of the fabric to the fixing clip, and add a mass of 5g to the lower end. Load, measure the distance L2 (cm) between the marking lines after 1min, and then use a 200g weight with a load of 5g left, and measure the distance L3 (cm) between the marking lines after 1min. Elongation and recovery were calculated from the measured L1, L2, L3.

⑵Calculation:

Elongation = (L2-L1)÷L1×100%

Recovery rate = (L2-L3) ÷ (L2-L1) × 100%

(3) Description: When measuring the L2 distance of the knitted fabric, the loading mass is 100g.

4. Fabric abrasion resistance test

⑴Instruments and materials:

Apparatus: There are instruments that can test the performance of flat grinding, torture and curved grinding, and the three-purpose abrasion tester imported from Japan can be used. The earliest domestically produced Y521 three-grinding instrument was used less frequently.

Others: Abrasive; Circular knife marker (ø11.3cm); Ruler, etc.

(2) Test method:

①Flat grinding: Take 5 round samples with a straight diameter of 11.3cm with a circular knife, put them on the rubber film, adjust the friction speed to (125±5) times/min, and the mass of the pressing block is 0.45kg. The pressure of the air pump is 28kPa, and multi-directional friction is carried out with emery paper (400# water sandpaper) until the sample is worn out, the instrument automatically stops, the number of frictions is recorded, and the average value is calculated.

②Curve grinding: Take 20cm×3cm (20cm×4cm if the yarn density of the sample is less than 20 pieces/cm) on the cloth sample. In this way, the same number of side yarns are removed from both sides, so that the width of the sample remains 2.5cm. Plus stretch weights and briquettes selected according to the fabric square meter quality (see table below). Install the sample and blade, turn the selector switch to the crankshaft, start the instrument, and the friction speed is (125±5) times/min. The fabric is repeatedly bent and rubbed back and forth on the metal blade until the sample wears off. Record the number of frictions, and take the average value (integer) in the warp and weft directions respectively.

③ Torture: Take 5 pieces of 7.6cm×2.5cm warp and weft samples respectively, and install the samples on the torture jig. Use 400# water sandpaper as abrasive, and rub in the same direction until the sample pieces are broken. Record the number of frictions, and take the average value (integer) in the warp and weft directions respectively.
