Desizing enzyme

Introduction

The main component of the desizing enzyme products currently used in the textile industry is α-amylase, which is used to remove starch slurry to prepare for subsequent dyeing processing. Compared with chemical methods, it has the advantages of not damaging fibers and being environmentally friendly. Some people will laugh, what is there to say about such a simple thing, isn't it just desizing? Well, I will take this opportunity to help you analyze its various performance differences under a microscope, which are often the cause of some problems.

1. Key performance of desizing enzyme: temperature

First of all, we need to look at the application equipment, which is converted into the performance of the product itself: temperature.

The operating temperature range on the continuous long car is generally high temperature, 60-80 degrees padding and steaming. This condition requires the desizing enzyme to be stable in activity at high temperature. The temperature in the equipment usually reaches 95 degrees or even 100 degrees. If the temperature resistance is not strong, the activity drops rapidly at a certain temperature, which will inevitably affect the desizing effect. Therefore, such requirements require the selection of high-temperature desizing enzymes. Cold stacking is also one of the common energy-saving desizing processes. However, due to climate reasons, the room temperature difference between winter and summer is very large. Although the padding temperature can be higher and the plastic bag is used, the temperature drop rate and the stable temperature are different in half a day. Generally speaking, it is required to select a medium-low temperature desizing enzyme. Please note that if the customer chooses a high-temperature product, the activity will usually be quite low under this temperature condition, and the desizing effect will also be poor. Therefore, the choice of product is still very important.

2. Key performance of desizing enzyme: stability

This performance covers a wide range, including use stability, compound stability, and storage stability. My understanding of use stability is that the enzyme product is not easily disturbed by electrolytes, including passivation and inactivation, and is easy to adapt to a relatively wide range of pH values and temperatures. Regarding compound stability, the formula should be able to minimize the loss of activity and ensure a certain storage period. Some friends often ask why the effect is much lower after compounding. In addition to the stability of the enzyme itself, water quality and other additives are also very important. Products from different manufacturers have great differences in controlling comprehensive stability.

3. Other performance differences

Other performance differences, such as pH adaptation range and color light. Generally, the pH adaptation range of products of large companies is relatively wide, which is about weak acidic conditions. However, some customers have asked for products that adapt to alkaline conditions, and we can also provide them at present. In addition, customers often ask to control the color light bias of fabrics, especially denim, which hopes to be blue light. At present, we can meet customers' requirements.

4. Questions and answers about desizing enzymes

Why can't manufacturers produce a product that adapts to the widest pH value, temperature and optimal stability? My analysis is that the selection of enzymes and the limitations of production processes are the most fundamental reasons. The difference between enzymes is like human DNA. Humans seem to be the same but are actually very different, just like the difference between Guo Jingming and Yao Ming, marathon runners and sumo wrestlers. Industrial production needs to select and separate suitable enzymes from a wide range of enzymes, and then cultivate and genetically engineer them to obtain the most suitable ones. In fact, the performance of the product has been fixed at this time, including the adapted pH value, temperature and compatibility. Next, due to the production level of equipment and technology of each manufacturer, industrial products with different activities, different purities and different price costs were differentiated. Enzyme products are not ordinary chemical products. They cannot be produced by setting up a few reactors in a few years. They require a lot of technical accumulation, including research and development and production.

Can desizing enzymes remove PVA pulp and other mixed pulps? The answer is that amylase has no effect on PVA pulp because enzymes are specific, but it can still be removed with a certain high temperature.

Amylase Sylic B6141 (CY-15A)

Desizing enzyme

Appearance: light brown liquid

Temperature: 60℃~80℃

pH value: 5.5~7.5

Time: depending on the specific process

Dosage

The optimal amount of enzyme depends on the desizing conditions, size components and fabric types. Generally speaking, first dilute the high-concentration and medium-temperature amylase by 5-12 times before using it. A dosage of 1 g/l can achieve satisfactory results.
