Among black fabrics, "Arabian Black" is undoubtedly the most typical. The depth of "Arabian Black" is difficult to achieve with dyes alone; it requires a synergistic combination of dyes and auxiliaries to reach the optimal depth.

Experimental research has achieved varying degrees of depth enhancement by developing complementary dyes and deepening auxiliaries, continuously optimizing the color matching of disperse black and reactive black dyes, developing different color-enhancing agents, and improving the deepening process.

Recommended black dyes

Our company recommends the following formula for matching Arabic Black dye:

Product

Fabric

Process

Disperse Black PLUS 400%

Polyester

Disperse Black PLUS 400%:6.0%

HAc:0.5g/L

130℃*30min

Reactive Black R-A

Reactive Black R-A  10% o.w.f
Sodium sulfate:120g/L

soda ash 25g/L

Recommended Deepening Agents

According to different customer requirements, four deepening agents have been selected for the Arabian Black solution.

Non-silicone deepening agents

FU5623 – bluish deepening agent
FU5624 – reddish deepening agent

Silicone deepening agents

D136 – bluish anti-gloss deepening agent
D673 – reddish deepening agent

Dark Black deeping agents

 Deepening Agent Principle

Deepening Agent Principle

Deepening agents work by coating the surface of fibers or fabrics with a low-refractive-index film of appropriate thickness, such as resin or silicone-based auxiliaries, during finishing. This reduces the material's ability to reflect or scatter light, allowing more visible light to penetrate the fiber interior and thus increasing the apparent color depth of the dyed fabric.

2.Recommended Deepening Process

2.1 One-dip-one-roll process

Finishing process:
Solution preparation → One dip one pad on dry fabric (3.0 kgf/cm²) → Stentering / Heat setting (drying at 150–180 °C) → Moisture regain

Selection of Suitable Deepening Agents:

2.2 Two-dip Two-nip Process

In the pursuit of extreme color depth, especially on certain fabrics such as polyester, a one-dip one-nip process—even at near-maximum dosage—shows limited improvement in depth. This indicates that the deepening agent has reached its saturation and can no longer enhance color further.

Our company has conducted related research and found that adopting a two-dip two-nip process can elevate the deepening effect to the next level.
