Silicon is an important material affecting human development. Its main products include metal silicon and various downstream products. As the downstream field with the largest amount and the widest application field, organosilicon products currently have more than 7,000 terminal products.

Silicone products are closely related to various fields of the national economy and play an increasingly important role in the development of high-tech industries and the optimization and upgrading of industrial structures.

Silicone material is a common commodity raw material, which refers to a large class of compounds containing silicon-carbon bonds or silicon-oxygen and silicon-sulfur bonds, including small-molecule organosilicon monomers, polysiloxanes, polysiloxanes, etc. Silicone polymers such as carbosilanes.

Since Dow Corning built the world's first organic silicon factory in the United States in 1943, the organic silicon material industry has experienced nearly 70 years of development. So far, it has developed into a new type of fine chemical system that is technology-intensive and occupies an important position in the national economy.

The industrial chain of the organosilicon industry is mainly "organosilicon raw materials - organosilicon monomers - organosilicon intermediates - organosilicon products". The mixed methyl monomers obtained by synthesis are separated, hydrolyzed, cracked and other processes to generate organosilicon base polymers, which are further processed to produce various organosilicon products.

The upstream of the silicone industry is mainly basic chemical raw materials such as metal silicon, hydrogen chloride, methyl chloride, etc. The silicone intermediates are polymerized to obtain end products such as silicone rubber, silicone oil, silane coupling agent and silicone resin. Among them, silicone rubber and silicone oil accounted for the largest proportion, reaching 66% and 22% respectively.

Dimethyldichlorosilane is the most widely produced monomer in the organosilicon industry. Its upstream raw materials are metal silicon and methyl chloride, and downstream intermediates such as organosilicon DMC and organosilicon D4 are synthesized, and then used to produce silicone rubber, silicone Resin, silicone oil and other end products.

Among them, silicone rubber accounts for the largest proportion, reaching 66.9%, but its special properties are used as material additives and have many applications, covering building materials, electronic appliances, aerospace, daily chemicals, textile printing and dyeing, new energy vehicles and other major fields.

From the perspective of the downstream emerging application market, under the background of "carbon neutrality", the emerging energy market will usher in explosive growth in the next few years. ), the output of new energy vehicles will reach 6 million, and the boom in related industries will drive the explosion of silicone applications in the fields of new energy vehicles and photovoltaics.

As the largest producer and consumer of organic silicon, China's supply of organic silicon monomers and intermediates accounts for 58.57%, of which 3.28 million tons of monomers and 1.64 million tons of intermediates are the global supply of organic silicon monomers and intermediates. The largest country; the United States accounted for 10.36% of the supply, ranking second, of which 580,000 tons of monomers and 250,000 tons of intermediates, far lower than the domestic supply.

Due to its high technical barriers, the organic silicon industry has a higher industry concentration than metal silicon.

The production capacity of organic silicon monomer is highly concentrated, and the production capacity of the top three companies accounts for more than 50% of the world. The global organosilicon monomer production capacity is mainly concentrated in several large multinational companies. Dow, WACKER, KCC + Momentive account for 50% of the global production capacity. Dow Silicones is the world's largest producer of silicone monomers.

From the perspective of my country's organic silicon industry market structure, the industry's production capacity is highly concentrated, and CR10 accounts for more than 90% of the total production capacity.

More than 90% of the unit production capacity is distributed in the top 10 companies, with high market concentration and strong bargaining power. However, the production capacity gap between the leaders is small, and there is no absolute monopoly leader in the current industry.

In the past two years, the domestic organosilicon industry has developed rapidly, and the industry has entered a period of rapid production expansion. In the absence of any expansion plan for foreign giants, all the increase in the silicone industry comes from new domestic production capacity.

With the operation of the Shanshan base in Xinjiang, Hoshine Silicon has a current production capacity of 560,000 tons of organic silicon, which is already the first in China, and its production capacity accounts for 17%. The silicone products of Hesheng Silicon Industry mainly include 107 rubber, 110 raw rubber, compound rubber, cyclic siloxane, fumed silica and so on.
