Apparel fabrics and finished products are processed and finished by "enzyme washing", mainly to change the original appearance and produce new appearance and body feeling effects. The use of cellulase through the implementation of the water washing process has four main functions: one is to use cellulase to catalyze the dyes attached to the surface of the fabric to achieve fading or "flowering" (a kind of "mottled" Visual effect), to increase the fashion sense of the product, and the original color of the washed denim is actually attached to the outer layer of the yarn. After "enzyme washing", the indigo dye on the attached fiber can be washed away to obtain the The required light blue effect makes the finished product produce a long-standing "vicissitudes of life"; the second is to use acid cellulase to catalyze the surface of the warp and weft fibers interwoven with the fabric to eliminate some rough hair-type substances such as burrs ( Commonly known as "dehairing"), it increases the smoothness and smoothness of the surface of the finished product. For example, after treatment, it can produce a delicate appearance similar to "peach skin"; the third is to use cellulase with moderate pH to catalyze the fabric, and Adding some substances (such as pumice stone) to change its original style, increase furry and softness, and improve body comfort during wearing; the fourth is to use the catalysis of cellulase to digest the finished product.

In some harmful substances and special pollutants, improve its cleanliness. It can be seen that "enzyme washing" is actually a product finishing method of industrial processing nature, and it does not belong to the scope of daily maintenance of textile products. Of course, a few years ago, the so-called "enzyme-added" household laundry detergent appeared on the market. It also uses the catalytic and melting functions of enzymes to remove macula and oil stains, blood stains, juice, ink and other special effects caused by sweat stains on cotton fabrics. Pollutants have been strengthened in improving the cleanliness of laundry washing, but it does not have the multiple functions of "enzyme washing" currently used in the industrial field.

Due to the protein properties of the enzyme itself and the catalytic melting effect, in fact, the clothing fabrics used for "enzyme washing" have certain restrictions. The main application object, or the best effect, should be cotton fabrics, as well as those blended or interwoven fabrics of cotton fibers and various synthetic fibers (cotton fibers should reach 80% and above). "Enzyme washing" is not suitable to be applied to finished fabrics such as wool, silk or pure polyester, because the fiber components of wool and silk fabrics also contain protein substances, which can be catalyzed by the interaction with enzymes, which will damage the texture and affect the service life. . It can be inferred from this reason that new cellulosic fiber fabrics containing protein components such as milk, soybeans and chitin are not suitable for "enzyme washing." However, pure polyester fabrics do not need to be processed by "enzyme washing" to fade, dehair or increase softness due to the characteristics of synthetic fibers.
