What is silicone resin

Silicone resin is a thermosetting polysiloxane system with a highly crosslinked structure. It is mainly made of organochlorosilane or the corresponding organic alkoxy silane as raw material, and is prepared into stable active siloxane prepolymers at room temperature by hydrolytic condensation and thickening rearrangement.When used, it is directly heated or cross-linked into hard or elastic solid silicone resin by catalytic condensation.According to its structure can be roughly divided into methyl silicone resin, phenyl silicone resin, methyl phenyl silicone resin, methyl vinyl silicone resin.Silicone molecular side group is mainly methyl, which can be cured by condensation, platinum catalytic addition, peroxide crosslinking and other ways.
