Setting process is one of the most important processes in textile printing and dyeing production. In the process of shaping, it is necessary to apply various additives to the fabric to improve its stability, service performance and feel. In the actual production process, the way of applying additives is different, not only the production equipment required is different, but also will affect the production process of shaping, the energy consumption of shaping production process, the amount of waste water produced by shaping, product quality and the production cost of shaping.
1.1 Additives are applied to the rolling groove
Additive is the most commonly used and typical method of adding additive to the rolling groove. It is to mix the additive into a solution of a certain concentration and add it to the rolling groove. The fabric absorbs the additive solution through the rolling groove, and increases the amount of liquid in the fabric under the pressure of the roller. The residual ratio of the rolling is controlled by the pressure of the roller to control the amount of liquid in the additive.
Since the fabric shape finishing process was introduced into China, it is basically the method of adding additives by rolling groove. The production process of setting process of additive by using rolling groove is: dyeing → drying → setting (rolling car immersion) → finished product.
1.2 Spray application additives
Spray additive is the finishing auxiliaries need to be mixed into a certain concentration of solution, spray directly to the surface of the fabric in the form of spray. The amount of liquid in the fabric can be controlled by controlling the concentration of the solution and the amount of spray. The spray can be divided into pressure spray and saucer spray.
(1) Pressure spray: under the action of compressed air, the solution forms a tiny liquid foam and is sprayed on the surface of the fabric.
(2) Flying saucer spray: the additive solution is filled in the flying saucer, and under the action of centrifugal force, tiny liquid foam is formed through the holes on the flying saucer and sprayed on the surface of the fabric.
Because the effect of pressurized spray is greatly affected by compressed air, it is unstable, resulting in little practical value in production, so it is not adopted. Flying saucer spray is used in production.
The forming process of spray additive is as follows: dyeing → rolling → setting (spray additive) → finished product. The application of spray additives can reduce one drying process.
Two kinds of contrast
(1) Save heat energy and electricity, reduce the energy saved by drying, but also take into account the heat increased by wet setting and the power consumption of spray equipment during operation.
(2) As can be seen from the data in Table 2, the use of spray additives can save more than 400 yuan per ton of product cost, showing good economic and environmental benefits.
