How to achieve level dyeing ?
Level dyeing is achieved by i) controlled exhaustion of the dye so that it is taken up evenly and ii) migration of dye after initially unlevel sorption on the fiber. In some cases level dyeing can be influenced by dye-bath pH and/or presence of electrolytes.

What is leveling agent in paint?
Leveling agents/flow modifiers are added to coating formulations to reduce the surface tension of the coating and interfacial tension between coating and substrate thus delivering superior surface qualities and optimal coating finish. They also help to optimize the viscosity during film formation process.
