How to achieve level dyeing ?
Level dyeing is achieved by i) controlled exhaustion of the dye so that it is taken up evenly and ii) migration of dye after initially unlevel sorption on the fiber. In some cases level dyeing can be influenced by dye-bath pH and/or presence of electrolytes.
What is leveling agent in paint?
Leveling agents/flow modifiers are added to coating formulations to reduce the surface tension of the coating and interfacial tension between coating and substrate thus delivering superior surface qualities and optimal coating finish. They also help to optimize the viscosity during film formation process.
What is levelness in dyeing?
The process of dyeing evenly where, from the great affinity between the goods and the dye, the portion first dyed would absorb too much coloring matter.
Which chemical is used as a Levelling agent for acid dyes?
Fatty alcohol Sulphates :
The product is chemically identical to commercial product (Gardinal WA). It can be used as leveling agent for dyeing nylon with acid dyes.
