What are the REACH amendment plans for 2022?

Amendment of registration requirements – including addition of chemical hazard declarations, safe use instructions, registration documents for certain polymers and data on their environmental footprint;

Streamline supply chain communication - evaluate ways to improve Safety Data Sheets (SDS), such as harmonizing electronic formats;

Amending regulations for dossiers and substance assessments - options include revoking registration numbers for non-compliant registrations and allowing authorities to commission tests for information on the hazard of substances;

Revise enforcement regulations – consider establishing minimum requirements for state control and enforcement, including stricter border controls, and establishing audit requirements for enforcement in member states;

Introducing the Mixture Assessment Factor (MAF).
