Choosing a softener is not just about the feel, there are more indicators to test.



LAB TESTING


First. Alkali resistance stability:

Softener x%

Na2CO3 5, 10, 15 g/L

35 ℃ for 20 minutes, to observe whether there is precipitation, bleaching oil production, no precipitation, bleaching oil shows that the alkali stability is better.


Second. High temperature stability:

Softener x%

98 ℃ 20 minutes, observe whether there is precipitation, bleaching oil and other unstable phenomena, no precipitation, bleaching oil indicates that the stability of high temperature resistance is better.


Third. Electrolyte stability:

Softener x%

Yuanming powder or salt 5, 10, 15 g/L

60 ℃ for 20 minutes, observe whether there is precipitation, bleaching oil and other unstable phenomena, no precipitation, bleaching oil indicates that the electrolyte stability is better.


Fourth. Shear stability:

Softener x %

Room temperature 2000r/min high-speed shear, observe whether there is precipitation, bleaching oil and other unstable phenomena, no precipitation, bleaching oil indicates that the shear temperature resistance is better.


Fifth. Anionic surface-activated compatibility:

Softener x%

Anionic additives 1,2,5 g/L

Room temperature for 30 minutes, observe whether there is precipitation, oil bleaching and other unstable phenomena, no precipitation, oil bleaching indicates that the anionic surface-activated compatibility is better.


Sixth. Low temperature stability:

Will be softener in -5 ℃, -10 ℃, -15 ℃ (or lower) placed in 24h or more, observe whether there is emulsion or oil bleaching phenomenon.

(The temperature of northern winter is relatively low, in the process of low temperature storage or transport, it will cause the emulsion breaking of silicone oil or the stability of surfactant is reduced, such as transparent blue emulsion becomes cloudy, the softener barrel inner wall of a layer of white oil flowers, etc.)


Seventh. Ease of stripping:

After adding softener to the dyed fabric, pull out the colour with kerosene + insurance powder, then re-dye the fabric, observe whether there is uneven dyeing or colour flower phenomenon, no colour flower or uneven dyeing indicates that the softener is easy to peel off.


Eighth. Application performance test:

1. the three degrees of feel:

Softness, smoothness, fluffiness

2.Hydrophilic effect

3.Yellowing

4.Washing resistance

5.Does it affect the fastness of dyeing

6.Is there any odour? (With or without solvent)

7. Whitening agent compatibility, etc.

8.Sewability test (needle hole)

9.Drape test
